Female Heroines in TV & Movies: A Humorous Christian Point of View

The days of saintly housewives and mindless pin ups are over. Now the women are shooting at the men. It sounds like revenge doesn't it? But she has a reason: she's doing it for her boyfriend secret agent she met one scene ago.

Now there are real women police officers but they don't trample every constitutional right in each scene. Men in the army say that women are better at aiming than men. That is true and when I go to the fair I win at the shooting gallery every time. But I shoot at plastic bottles and the riffle weighs just one pound. That's realistic since actresses use plastic riffles too. Who taught them weapon retention skills? Two scenes ago, when she met the spy, she was a waitress in a night club.

These women often wear a cutoff t-shirt instead of a bullet proof vest just to show how flat their stomachs are. But it's justifiable because they have to look especially attractive when piercing men's lungs with a 38. Otherwise, who would admire such moody behavior?

But they are not selfish women. They are not even standing up for women's rights; they are dumping apple carts and stealing motorcycles to save the world. Women now use serious cases of Pre-menstrual Syndrome for the aid of humanity, and they do it beautifully. They come out of an explosion and they still have hair. Would you watch a movie in which the leading lady is not a sex symbol and her face looks like a waffle? There would only be one danger scene in the whole movie and then she would be in the hospital for a month. Knowing how these couples behave, the man should also have the barbecue look. It has been observed that couples who spend time together begin to resemble one another.

There are romantic scenes- after they blow everyone away they have lustful sex. Due to the stress of many consecutive days of danger to life, most people would be off to a psychologist to get over the post traumatic stress. But not these couples- they're having fun in Tahiti.

I am not against all television though. I watch Supper Nanny. That's Super Nanny, not Spider Man. Warning: this program shows graphic scenes of real life, little children screaming, biting each other and throwing toys at their parents. It features a Nanny that helps the parents resolve their problems. Another show I like is the Teen Tamer. It's the same thing but for parents of teens.

Why do we watch action movies similar plots all the time? The Bible says to use your time wisely (Ephesians 5:16) and discern the spirits (1 John 4:1). Let's give support to Christian movies where the heroines face real life crisis with the help of Jesus Christ. Let's watch Christian and educational programs.
